My sis got hitched!

Congratulations to my sister Ronda, and her new husband Mike. We wish you the best in your new life together!

I hope my normal readers will allow me an extra large post this time...

Mike and Ronda were married in their back yard, up in Elkhart County. We began, however, with portraits the night before in a local park. This was the best the weather was.

Cousins Deb & Jim were the honor attendants.

Don't worry, this is normal behavior...

Ronda's gift to Mike... yep, that's a cake!

When it wasn't raining we all chipped in to get the backyard set, coolers stocked with drinks, etc.

That's my mom in her little rain poncho. She played traffic cop early in the day and told everyone where to park...

Yep... it was like this until the ceremony was over...

Mike and his daughter... Ronda said that jersey cost as much as renting a tux - so why not let him wear it and be comfy!

Ronda and her girls waiting for the bridal march... someone kicked the power cord, so it took a few minutes to sort out what the delay was... (Note to other brides: get a professional DJ!)

Cousin Deb hugs Ronda, while Cousin Cindy adds the bubbles!

Ronda made Mike cut the #3 cake - for fear that he'd try to stick in on a shelf and try to keep it forever.

Yes... they had cake smooshing. Note to Grooms... don't be the first to smoosh cake... paybacks are heck!

The rain let up long enough for us to get some fun in.

That's my niece Chrissy. Don't mess with her! She gets what she wants!

Engagement: Shannon and Erick

I think I'm caught up on blog posts for a while. If I missed posting your session, let me know and I'll get it up.

Engagement: Madison and Joel

These two are great violinists (says I, who has NO musical ability at ALL!) They make up the Double Play Violin - and are available for weddings and other events.

They are also engaged, and I'm honored to be photographing their wedding this fall.

Here are some of the pics we got out at Holliday Park.

Engagement: Lyndi and Ryan

We had a great time wandering downtown Indy. They're having their reception at Union Station's Grand Hall.

Their first date was at Nicky Blaine's

The best gift for the first day of spring

Congrats to my assistant Blake and his wife:

Ella Colleen born at 3:45am on March 20th.

5 pounds 7 ounces. 19 Inches

Blake would like anyone still looking for a wedding photographer that he now has an little bundle of joy who needs diapers, food, at lots of love. He would love to photograph a few more weddings this year to make sure little Ella has plenty of diapers.

If you still need a photog, and want to consider Little Ella's Daddy, you can give me a call, and I'll check his schedule for you. Blake is going to be a little busy this next week. [grin]
