“To forget those to whom we owe so much is our nation's greatest tragedy.”
– Charles A. Haenlein - President and Chief Executive Officer. HVAF
A brief time out from our regular look at photographs...
What are you doing Sunday April 26? Want to go for a walk, and help some folks that really deserve our thanks, as well as some help?
I'd like to invite you to come out and help our community's homeless veterans at the HVAF 3rd Annual Walk-A-Thon. In addition to the Walk-a-Thon, they'll have other fun activities, including a silent auction. I'm donating a family portrait session with a 20x24 inch fine art wall print.
We'll be gathering in downtown Indianapolis at the HVAF building - 964 N. Pennsylvania Street. That is at 10th and Pennsylvania Streets. Registration begins at 9 a.m.
Yes, I know it's a Sunday. ;-) If you normally attend church, grab your Sunday School class and come on down for some exercise... If you normally catch up on sleep, try getting up to see the sun for a change!
HVAF is a great organization that serves our veterans - the men and women who have served our country, and need our help now. HVAF helps our homeless vets get off the streets by providing housing, and other assistance to them.
My grandfather was a veteran from WWII, and I'm just carrying on the work he would have done if HVAF had been around when he was alive.
So, if you have time, come on out and take a few steps in the Walk-a-thon, so that those who served our country can take a step back into society and the recovery they deserve.
Thank you.
