Presenting my Aunt Miriam and (now) Uncle Rick!
Yep. They've only been dating for --oh -- about fourteen years. Rick finally popped the question about a year ago, after Miriam's youngest daughter was married.
Miriam celebrated not only her wedding, but also one of those "almost milestone" birthdays (ends in a 9) the same weekend. Married the day before the big birthday, she wanted to be able to say she was married before she turned... ummmmmm... 29! :)

The Wedding was held in Merrillville IN. Rick, being a big ham, and a hopeless romantic serenaded his bride during the ceremony.

That's my mom hugging her new brother-in-law!

They did this a LOT that day!

Rick is an awesome wedding dj most of the other Saturdays, so he had some fun ideas on how the reception should be handled. Rick turned DJ duties over to his friend Kerry from Entertainment Express for the evening.
As they entered the ballroom at The Avalon Manor, the theme to ROCKY played. So the boxing match was on. Miriam landed a right hook, and knocked Rick senseless. I guess you could say he really fell for her! ;)

The happy couple will be honeymooning in Mexico, where they love to hear the mariachi's play. Here they're serenaded by the Mariachi Sonidos De Mexico for their first dance.

For once, the little kid in the front row didn't catch the garter. Thanks to a well placed, and aimed shot, my cousin Rick (we have a lot of men named Richard in my family) was singled out to catch it.
